03.10.2009· Old SHARP HMV with AcuRite MillPower package, I wrote another sample program, milling lines in rectangle shape with feedrate at 30 ipm. X & Y are moving smooth up to 50 ipm, but if more than 50 ipm, only the Y travel is not smooth, the table is jerking. It does samething when I jog the table, X move really smooth but not the Y axis.

Sharp LMV mill or First or a real Bridgeport
20.02.2008· I see that Sharp has the LMV model, from the description it looks like a nice quality machine with a few interesting features. The First mill looks to be very nearly the same so I thought that perhaps they were making the Sharp mills since they do make some of their cnc's, but I was told that the Sharp LMV is made in China and not Taiwan

01.07.2014· Re: Sharp HMV Milling Machine Help Yes, the Sharp mills (and nearly all knee-mills now) take R8 shank tooling and collets. A drawbar would be a good project if you have a lathe. I believe the R8 shank collets and tooling is 7/16"-20.
